My Own Bandwagon

Passat

June 29, 2008 · 4 Comments

So I went to test drive a Passat yesterday.  It was a 5 speed manual…it was awesome.  I felt like I was in my twenties again.  Shifting gears……zoom…zoom.  Leather seats…..moon roof.

Needless to say, I did not come home with it….bad deal.   Maybe another day =)

I have no idea what day it is

June 25, 2008 · 1 Comment

I had convinced myself today was Tuesday. I am still not sure? Jeff is have having issues with his company’s new site. I guess the server they pay to keep it up is having issues. So, I am home with two dogs asleep on the couch and my son passed out on the floor.

Heath decided to get sick early this morning…..if you know what I mean. Unfortunately, I don’t get a break when he is sick. Nothing phases him! I am worn out.

Yet……I am up again at 12:30 am. Thinking about a Tylenol PM…….getting up now………getting sleepy……..

Remember when….

June 23, 2008 · 2 Comments

  • you blogged everyday when it was exciting a new
  • a wii exercise program would have never made you sore
  • you didn’t have allergies
  • you could be sick and lay in bed, not worrying if your son had climbed the oven to reach the snacks
  • you had time for long hair
  • you weighed 20 pounds lighter and should have worn a bikini then
  • nothing sagged
  • you car only had two seats and the weren’t car seats!
  • your mom did your laundry
  • your dad paid the bills
  • you would get ready at 11 pm to go out
  • amusement park rides didn’t make you dizzy
  • 9 am classes in college sucked
  • you didn’t have to worry about kids drowning when you were at the beach
  • gas was 89 cents

Fit my Wii

June 19, 2008 · 1 Comment

Just got Wii fit.  Kicked my but.  So sad!  It made me do lunges.  No, actually it is really cool.  It checks your center of balance, gives you a fitness test.  My age is 50 something.  Thought I would beat Jeff at yoga, but beat him in strength training.  Not sure how accurate that is!

Big Prayer-Please pray the right job opens up for me!

M.T.’s are cool!

June 16, 2008 · 3 Comments

M.T.’s rhyme with the word luffin pops!

We spent the weekend in Melbourne for my sister-in-laws birthday at the beach.  I’ve decided I like Daytona Better.  Even Cocoa Beach.  That night we went to a restaurant on the river in Sebastian.  I loved it!  My kind of place.  We (me +kids) danced to Jerry Lee Lewis type music…..which I love!

Father’s Day I grilled about 20 steaks, 4 pieces of chicken, and three hamburgers(because I dropped one in soapy water).  I also got a free patio table from Jeff’s grandmother.  We wanted a table for the covered porch, for when it rains.  Jeff and I love sitting outside playing Skip-bo on Fridays.

I took Kaelyn to the ENT today.  He flushed her ear and took her tube out.  I guess it was just sitting there and that is why she got swimmers ear.  She can swim now!

Heath had his first swim lesson with an old friend of mine.  You could hear him 5 miles away. He even chased a young couple away.  Good B.C.!  You would think he was dying.  Later tonight he said swimming scares him.  We might have to wait until next year.

Tomorrow my cousin is coming to stay and we are going to see Blue Man Group.  Can’t wait.

Also, dropped my digital photography class.  Couldn’t take it anymore.  Very unorganized and a waste of time.  I spent the first hour and 1/2 of class watching her figure out her email.  I have had enough.  The class started with 18 and is down to 8!

Talk with ya later….

On the go-go-go!

June 11, 2008 · 1 Comment

OK, saw Angie’s new site and thought a change might help me blog.  I feel like I have been running non-stop.  We have either been swimming, at parties, or at the beach this past week.  My kids are exhausted.  It is 8:40 and they are still in bed.  I passed out at 10, which is unheard of.

Yesterday, Kaelyn complained again about her ear.  I took a q-tip and barely cleaned the outside and their was green liquid coming out.  I called the doctor when we got home at 3:15, got in at 3:30 and was done by 3:50……Miracle!  She has swimmers ear!  Out of the pool for 10 days and it is so stinkin’ hot!!!

Haven’t heard from the job interview…thinking I didn’t get it.  I did hear through the grapevine that I might be getting a call from the private school I used to work for.

Laundry and cleaning is my day today.  Maybe……

Thursday Turtles

May 29, 2008 · 3 Comments

Today I had an interview at an amazing school. At least I felt good about it. I love interviewing. Especially if the person interviewing is talkative. Hopefully I hear something in the next few days.

I drove out to the Avalon area to buy two mongoose (remember when they were cool) mountain bikes for 50.00 a piece. Very good deal. I rode it when I got home and had Enzo chase me. I loved it. I forgot how much I like to ride bikes. It has been over 6 years since I have been on one. At the guy who sold it to me replaced the skinny seat with a big cushiony one. It felt good to feel like a kid again.

This next part is for Andrea-

There is something coming out

I will not pout

It seeks to be released

For the tension can hold it no more

I try to put it in it’s proper place

I don’t want to see it with my face

THE NEXT SURVIVOR SERIES

Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 3 kids each for six weeks.

Each kid will play two sports and either take music or dance classes.

There is no fast food.

Each man must take care of his 3 kids; keep his assigned house clean , correct all homework , and complete science projects, cook , do laundry , and pay a list of ‘pretend’ bills with not enough money.

In addition, each man will have to budget in money for groceries each week.

Each man must remember the birthdays of all their friends and relatives, and send cards out on time–no emailing.

Each man must also take each child to a doctor’s appointment , a dentist appointment and a haircut appointment .

He must make one unscheduled and inconvenient visit per child to the Urgent Care.

He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a social function.

Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside and keeping it presentable at all times.

The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done.

The men must shave their legs, wear makeup daily, adorn himself with jewelry, wear uncomfortable yet stylish shoes, keep fingernails polished and eyebrows groomed .

During one of the six weeks, the men will have to endure severe abdominal cramps, back aches, and have extreme, unexplained mood swings but never once complain or slow down from other duties.

They must attend weekly school meetings, church, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting.

They will need to read a book to the kids each night and in the morning, feed them , dress them , brush their teeth and comb their hair by 7:00 am.

A test will be given at the end of the six weeks, and each father will be required to know all of the following information: each child’s birthday, height, weight, shoe size, clothes size and doctor’s name. Also the child’s weight at birth, length, time of birth, and length of labor, each child’s favorite color, middle name, favorite snack, favorite song, favorite drink, favorite toy, biggest fear and what they want to be when they grow up.

The kids vote them off the island based on performance. The last man wins only if…he still has enough energy to be intimate with his spouse at a moment’s notice.

If the last man does win, he can play the game over and over and over again for the next 18-25 years eventually earning the right To be called Mother!

After you get done laughing, send this to as many females as you
think will get a kick out of it and as many men as you think can
handle it.  Just don’t send it back to me….
I’m going to bed.
